This June, WUTC invites you to join us in celebrating Richard Winham’s retirement. His voice has been a Chattanooga staple for 38 unforgettable years. Since 1987, Richard has done more than host a radio show—he’s shaped the cultural heartbeat of our city with warmth, wisdom, and an unwavering passion for music.

Richard introduced WUTC’s very first freeform music program, mentored generations of student DJs, and created a welcoming space for local artists, musicians, and writers to share their work. His legacy is woven into the creative fabric of our community.

As he prepares to sign off the airwaves, we gather to honor his incredible legacy—and to carry forward the spirit he inspired in all of us.
